With the surge in demand for Nigerian music on the global scale, there is still one thing that is missing- positivity in our messages. Yes. We have the producers. Yes. We own the new music drug everyone is hooked on-Afrobeat. Yes. We have crooners who could move souls to the verge of paradise. Yet, our songs are mundane repetitions of one line or centred on objectifying women and unreal tales of champagne and fast cars.
Groomed in the church like so many other stars like Usher, Toni Braxton, Snoop Dogg and Whitney Houston, this Nigerian born and raised preachers kid has stayed true to the message of the gospel- love. When you speak to him, he consistently talks about his passion to make the world a better place…one song at a time. Bringing his message home to the land of his forefathers, Skyeglows message is a much needed one now. Listening to him, your hearts expands with all the love in the world and you feel there is no mountain you cannot climb, no river you cannot cross and no obstacle you cannot overcome. Skyeglow- a name representing two things important to him- upliftment and being the best we can be, shining our light. Welcome home Skyeglow.
